
Chandana is a seasoned leader with over 34 years of experience in military operations, national security, and large-scale agricultural modernization programs. He currently serves as Project Director for Sri Lanka’s Inclusive Digital Agriculture Transformation (IDAT) initiative, implemented under the guidance of the Gates Foundation, driving digital solutions for food security, resilience, and agricultural innovation.
With a proven record in strategic planning, ICT management, and inter-agency coordination at both national and international levels, Chandana combines strong technical acumen with deep leadership experience. He is an award-winning postgraduate of the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School, with advanced training in defence studies, crisis management, and project implementation.
